LondonEdge Party September 2016

On Sunday 4th September the 34th LondonEdge tradeshow opened, and as ever, we celebrated with one hell of a party.

We invited some top quality acts to join us at the Islington Metal Works, to delight and entertain the crowds of over 300 exhibitors, press, buyers and everyone in-between. The night was a real hit, with many a sore head come Monday morning…

Back by popular request was Swing Patrol, London’s number one retro dance troupe. The eight strong team took to the floor wearing Steady clothing shirts and dresses from Banned Clothing, and coerced our partygoers into strutting their stuff – check out how involved everyone got showing us their moves.

We love a bit of live music, and this season we enlisted Dick Dynamite and the Doppelgangers to rock the night away – they took the stage and blasted us away with their fierce fun psychobilly – so good that Swing Patrol couldn’t resist joining in too!

We had the ladies from Pin Up Academy join us too, keeping us looking good all night long with up do’s and headscarves provided by the lovely Dolly & Dotty. The cherry on top of our night was Banbury Cross, who singlehandedly brought down the house with her sultry burlesque. Banbury really is the best in the business <3 A special thanks goes out to the incredible Aima Indigo, our compere for the night and general life of the party.

Thank you to all our amazing partygoers for making the night what it was – the dance floor was packed and the drinks were flowing - we even had an impromptu mosh pit towards the end of the night…We all danced till the lights came on, and we can’t wait to do it all again in February! We’re already planning next season’s shindig so watch this space…
